One small step for email, one giant leap for hotmail
NYTimes tech blogger David Pogue does a deep dive on the new Hotmail aka Outlook.com. Short of predicting droves of loyal Gmail users switching to the new service, Pogue glowingly reviews Microsoft’s revamped email offering. From its clean new design to handy filtering features, Microsoft clearly learned from Hotmail’s mistakes and the proof is in the pudding, or in the case, the entirely revamped user experience.
Time will tell if Outlook can shrug off Hotmail’s Web 1.0 stigma. But in the meantime, there’s no harm in reserving your outlook.com email address.
