As a proud Account Executive, I’m always trying to find ways to consult my clients on how to effectively use our unique platform. There’s so much that can be done through email that can’t be done elsewhere. Here’s an aspect of our platform that’s causing a buzz during my Bloody Mary & Learns (shockingly, it’s not the vodka).
Newsletters Stay in the Inbox
Ads on traditional webpages disappear as soon as you click off the screen. But what if you liked something you saw and can’t find it again?! Thankfully, ads in newsletters stay in the in-box and can easily be revisited, forwarded, and printed.
Case in point… I was talking with a CPG client that wanted to put coupons in front of moms while they were in the grocery store. They tried mobile, but it failed miserably. The moms were looking at the ads on their phones, but by the time they made it to the checkout they had clicked off the screen and couldn’t find the coupons.
But an ad that stays in the in-box would have been a different story! Those moms could have easily opened their mobile in-box at the register and used the coupon.
Beyond coupons, there are so many promotions that would benefit from the chance of multiple views. Cruises, Airline tickets, credit cards, electronics… High priced items need time to be thought of and discussed.
If you want your audience to find your ad again, then put in their in-box!
